Welcome parents, students and families! My name is Natalie Schreier and I am so excited to be your child's early childhood science teacher. I have been very busy decorating the science lab and I am looking forward to a wonderful year.
My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside with them to maximize it. My philosophy about teaching Science is based around making learning fun! I believe in learning creatively, combining discussions, independent research, individual and group inquiry, and science experiments to create a hands-on Science program. I am really looking forward to another fun–filled educational year!
It is important that you and your child be informed of my standards of classroom behavior so everyone knows what is expected. I have always found parents to be very supportive of good classroom behavior so their child has a good environment for maximum learning. I am attaching a copy of our science safety and group rules under resources; with additional reminders below:
In my class, your child will be required to:
Rewards:
Ø Verbal praise
Ø Class Points/Prizes Tokens, Stickers
Ø Positive note home
